Wilshere’s failed trolling to Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets

It all started when a user asked the following question to Wilshere, now a player for Bournemouth, a team in the English second division. “In the 2011 game against Barça, who did you learn more from? Xavi, Iniesta or Busquets?”.

Faced with this question, Wilshere fell apart. “I couldn’t learn much from them that night because the truth is that the three of them spent the whole night in my pocket,” replied the former Arsenal player to make it clear that, in his opinion, in that game it was he who dominated the midfield.

Wilshere’s response quickly went viral. More like a blunder than a valid and real answer. Both detractors and fans of Arsenal and of the player himself reminded him of his career compared to that of Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets. They also reminded him that playing in the English Second Division he doesn’t have much reason to make that comment. Other users made it clear to him that living off the achievements of a decade ago perfectly illustrates the fiasco that his career has meant.

Remember that Wilshere was one of Arsenal’s great promises. Even in his day it came to sound for Barça. However, his performance was declining – also due to several serious injuries – to the point of being left without a team after terminating last October with West Ham. Wilshere has been a new Bournemouth player for a few days.
