The author of the song’s lyrics and music is Emil Dreiblat, the leader of Willow Farm. “The lighthouse helps us find my way home. It gives light and protects from danger. The paths of life sometimes take us in crazy twists and turns, but the feeling of security, knowing that the way back can be found, is very important, ”explains Emīls.
“The lighthouse symbol has become important to us in recent years. Our recording studio in Liepaja is located in a building where in Soviet times there was a cinema “Red Lighthouse”, so we chose the beautiful English name “Lighthouse” for its name. Thinking further on this topic, the idea for the song also arose. This lonely lighthouse man, who was sung before, is such an interesting image – he sits alone, watches as others pound around him, and takes care of safety at all times, even in crazy times ”.
The song “Es uzcelšu bāka” was recorded in Liepāja, studio “Lighthouse”, mixed by the group’s guitarist Jānis Dreiblats, but mastered by Gints Sola. The video of the song was created by Dāvis Kristaps Aigars.
Willow Farm is continuing to work on their fifth studio album, which is scheduled for release this fall. The previous album “The World is Everything That Happens” was released in February 2020.
