William Tanuwijaya Transfers 132.22 Million Shares of GOTO: What Does It Mean for the Market?

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Commissioner of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) William Tanuwijaya has 20.98 billion shares consisting of series A shares and series B shares. However, he transferred as many as 132.22 million series A shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO).

The transfer of shares was carried out on 27 July 2023. This action also did not change the ownership of securities on behalf of Bank of Singapore Ltd.

William emphasized that there was no sale or purchase of shares because the process carried out was only the transfer of a number of shares from one securities depository account to another securities depository account without causing a change in effective ownership through an account in the name of Bank of Singapore Limited.

“In the process, 132,220,000 Series A shares or 0.01% of the paid-up capital of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk have been transferred,” he said as quoted from the information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Monday (7/8).

For information, William owns 20.98 billion shares consisting of series A shares and series B shares, equivalent to 1.77%. In detail, 20.84 billion are series A and B shares with direct ownership status. While the remaining 132.22 million series A shares are owned indirectly.

“Thus, after this process is carried out, the number of Series A and Series B shares that I directly and indirectly own is still 20,981,678,973 Series A and Series B shares or the equivalent of 1.77%,” he concluded.
