William Carvalho has been in the spotlight due to the trial taking place in Spain, where he is accused of having sexually assaulted a 30-year-old woman in Seville last summer.
At the time, the Betis footballer was still in a relationship with his partner, Rita Mendes, with whom he published happy records alongside their two children. However, at the beginning of this year, shortly before the scandal was made public, the two would delete the images together and go their separate ways, at a time when the investigation was already underway, but the case had not yet reached the courts. .

And if now the accusation that reaches the court takes on the serious nature of a rape, the truth is that this is not the first time that the footballer’s name has come up due to issues related to his conduct towards women.
In 2018, after a night at a trendy nightclub in Lisbon, a young woman used social media to denounce the footballer’s alleged abusive behavior at the Docks nightclub in Lisbon. “I was dancing in private with a friend until someone came and brutally groped my breasts. When I looked back, I saw a huge guy laughing”explained Maria on her Twitter account [agora X]adding that he only realized that the man was William Carvalho after insulting him and introducing himself by his first name, in an attempt to alleviate the situation.

Faced with the controversy, the player was forced to react, through his lawyers, to deny the case. “It’s all fake, nothing happened. William is calm”the player’s representative revealed at the time, in response to the girl’s complaint.
More than five years later, the accusations are now escalating with the 30-year-old woman having filed a complaint with the authorities, after guaranteeing that she had been raped by William. According to the girl, the incident happened in the early hours of August 9, after dinner and a night of fun in Seville.
The woman says that all she remembers is waking up alone in the hotel room, without remembering how she got there. In the indictment she described that she had a bruise on her leg and a head injury. In court, she handed over copies of the messages she exchanged with the footballer after waking up alone in her room and in which she asked him why he had left her alone, to which he replied that he had to go train.
The following day, when feeling pain in her private parts, the woman, originally from Salamanca but residing in Ibiza, was advised to be observed and handed over all the medical reports for that day.
Leaving the court in Seville, William said he was calm, ensuring that the accusations against him were false. The Betis player said that he had two encounters with the aforementioned woman, but that the sex was consensual. “I have a lot of respect for women”, he guarantees.
CRISTIANA’S CONTROVERSIAL SECRET
William Carvalho’s name has, over the years, been associated with several controversies, some of them involving reality show contestants. When, in 2014, Cristiana Dionísio joined the ‘House of Secrets’, she took as a secret the fact that she had already been involved with football players from three countries.
Shortly after the young woman entered the program, the magazine ‘TV7 Dias’ reported that Cristiana’s Portuguese conquest was William Carvalho, who was then playing for Sporting. Three years later, it would be ‘House of Secrets’ contestant Agnes Arabela’s turn to guarantee that William had tried to seduce her. “We exchanged some messages about three months ago… He’s not my type.
