Willem II agrees to terminate the contract and waves a flopped left back

Willem II canceled James McGarry’s contract. The New Zealander played two seasons for the Tricolores, but during that period came to no more than six games and 178 playing minutes.

That was reason for Willem II to immediately terminate the contract of the left leg. The contract termination allowed McGarry to return to New Zealand. It was already clear that the Tilburgers would not extend the defender’s contract. The left back says goodbye to his teammates, the staff and the supporters on the Tricolores website.

When McGarry heard that, he asked the board of Willem II for contract termination, so that he could immediately return to his home country. Since the New Zealander made the switch from Wellington Phoenix to Tilburg in the summer of 2017, he has not been able to impress. In the left back position, Miquel Nelom and Freek Heerkens were preferred. So the solution is beneficial for both parties.
