Will Vladimir Putin be arrested in Mongolia? There is a comment from the Kremlin

The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin and Russian children’s rights advocate Maria Lvova-Belova for their involvement in the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children from Russian-occupied territories.

Dmitry Peskov: No, we are not afraid of Vladimir Putin’s visit to Mongolia

Russia does not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, as do China and India. However, Mongolia is among the countries that recognize such jurisdiction. Theoretically, this means that when the Russian head of state comes to Mongolia, the country should arrest Putin and hand him over to the Court.

Putin’s visit to Mongolia is connected with the celebration of the 85th anniversary of the victorious Battle of Khalkyn Gol, during which Soviet and Mongolian forces clashed with Japanese troops.
