Comic readers have known for a long time; death is never really dead. Numerous heroes received honorable deaths only to return to the land of the living years – or even months – later.
This has also been applied in the Marvel film universe. Because of the time-traveling element of Avengers: Endgame numerous characters returned. However, these were only the people killed by the ‘Snap’.
Rugby match
In front of Thor: Love & Thunder a deceased character may also return. Went last weekend Taika Waititi in Idris Elba namely to a rugby match together.
This feeds the rumors that Heimdall could just pop up in the sequel. This Nordic god was killed at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War. In one last heroic act, he manages to send Hulk back to Earth.
Thunder gods
Heimdall’s return would suit it previous message that Love & Thunder will feel like an Avengers movie. Besides the two thunder gods Chris Hemsworth in Natalie Portman are also likely to see the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Of course, the two may just get along (they recently worked together on The Suicide Squad). But with the start of filming in the offing, it could just be that Elba will also be announced soon.
