Will the Meilandjes keep their chateau open longer?

Things are not going smoothly with the sale of Chateau Marillaux, but Martien and his family already have a solution in mind. If they fail to complete the sale, they simply stay a little longer in France. “We keep going back and forth to the Netherlands,” Erica explains. “Maxime will completely remigrate (…) If it is not sold in the spring, we will continue to run for four months next year.” If things go like this, Martien and his wife will live in the recently renovated outbuilding. “I think it’s going to live here for a while”, Erica says.

The family is already preparing for the move and are busy packing, even though they do not yet know whether they can stay in the Netherlands. “Of course it hasn’t been sold yet”, Maxime confirms. “They will probably still be playing here with guests for the summer. I don’t know if I will come along. I would rather not, to be honest.” Erica indicates that she is going to ‘miss’ French life, but Martien is already looking forward to returning to his home country.

The viewers are satisfied that the Meilandjes can be visited a little longer in their favorite holiday destination / The viewers understand why they can keep going in France for a while, because they are deeply impressed by the makeover of the branch.

In the Netherlands, Maxime will be able to enjoy her new sweetheart Leroy even more. In the video below she explains why she has become a ‘different person’ because of her new relationship.
