Will the 5-Door Suzuki Jimny be Marketed in Indonesia?

The 5-door Suzuki Jimny has just been launched in India. The 5-door Jimny is the result of the development of the 3-door Jimny, with longer dimensions and wider cabin space. Will this 5-door Suzuki Jimny also be marketed in Indonesia?

Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) 4W Marketing Director Donny Ismi Saputra explained that SUVs are one of the main segments that Suzuki Indonesia is working on. Noted that Suzuki has marketed the tiny S-Presso SUV and recently introduced the Grand Vitara.

“So going forward, one of our product strategies will be to introduce and refresh our SUV products, the S-Presso is one example, with the addition of new features, then the Grand Vitara, then in the near future there will be more refreshments for SUVs that have been produced in country,” said Donny in Jakarta, Saturday (4/5/2023).

Now, regarding the possibility of the 5-door Suzuki Jimny being marketed in Indonesia, Donny doesn’t want to answer in more detail. But he did not rule out that Suzuki will launch another new product this year.

“The plan is that there will also be a refresher or model extension for our legendary SUV line-up. We did not mention the timing and model (whether it’s a 5-door Jimny or another model). convey (in time),” continued Donny.

Currently, Suzuki Indonesia is still marketing the 3-door Suzuki Jimny. Suzuki Jimny is offered in a choice of manual transmission and automatic transmission, and is offered in 4 models.
