Will Smith is relaxing by the sea in his first social media post since his wife Jada Pinkett Smith revealed they have been separated for seven years. The 55-year-old Oscar winner shared a video of himself casually taking a boat ride amid the media frenzy that has been sparked by revelations about the state of his marriage.
Last week, 52-year-old Jada Pinkett Smith told the world that she and Will have not been living together since 2016, but that they have no intention of divorcing because they still love each other.
Smith was “banned” from Hollywood more than a year and a half ago after slapping Chris Rock, who hosted the 2022 Academy Awards, after the latter made a joke about Jada’s bare scalp (it later turned out that she suffering from alopecia).
However, Will seems to have overcome his problems, judging by the enjoyment he seemed to be getting from his seaside excursion, which he showed his followers on Instagram on Sunday.
Smith’s post comes two days after his wife, who he has reportedly been with for 25 years, spoke publicly about their estrangement. He captioned his post: “Notifications are off,” implying that he prefers to isolate himself in nature rather than explain his family life.
