Over the past two years, the family Pinkett-Smith he’s opened up about the most personal topics imaginable on his matriarch’s show, ‘Red Table Talk‘, and now it was the turn of the youngest in the house, Willow, to sit at the red table to talk about her mental health problems.
The 20-year-old singer suffers from a serious anxiety that leads her to lock herself in a kind of “shell” when she feels overwhelmed by shame, guilt and sadness, as she explained in front of the cameras accompanied by her mother and grandmother.
“Four days ago I began to experience acute anxiety that prevented me from speaking,” Willow explains in the episode that aired this Tuesday. “It’s not even something you want to talk about because it seems like you’re crazy and you don’t want others to think about it too, so in the end you decide it’s better not to say anything about it,” she added.
Willow began to injure herself with only ten years after rising to fame with the single ‘Whip My Hair‘And, as her own parents explained a long time ago, one day she shaved her head without warning because it was the only way she could think of to make them see that the circumstances in which she found herself completely overwhelmed her.
