Unlike other seasons, there is the potential for the Seattle Sounders to preseason within the region.
In other times, the plans to make a good preseason for the Sounders would have as destination Spain or Mexico; including a week or two in southern California or Arizona but, apparently this 2021 they will be closer to home to be able to start MLS on the right foot.
Some teams have already announced that they will blow preseason bubbles in Orlando; however, there are no plans within the Sounders team to move out of the region for the start of the preseason that begins March 1.
Although there is still no decision made by the Sounders technical command, there are players who are already doing voluntary sessions at Starfire Sports Complex, a sports complex located in Washington, where the club has offices and training facilities and, they play games its affiliate team, Seattle Sounders FC 2.
The only problem with these voluntary sessions is that they may not be able to be fully completed until March 8 due to the quarantine period required by the league. This quarantine period is stipulated in seven days where the players will pass medical examinations and physical tests before the start of training.
Finally, if the Sounders decide not to travel and take their preseason abroad, they will only be able to play practice games between the first team and Tacoma Defiance.
