Will PlayStation Network be available on PC?

One of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s job offers strongly suggests that Sony is working harder to integrate the PC platform so that it’s not just an afterthought to be here.

A DualShockers has discovered a job posting where Sony is looking for a project management director who will be expected to work specifically on “PC gaming experiences” and his tasks will include platform integration linked to the PlayStation Network. THE On Twitter the job advertisement also hit the head, which supports Sony’s desires: we’ve heard from the company several times that it wants to be a multiplatform (and we recently wrote that Jim Ryan’s will need Bungie for this).

This isn’t the first time Sony has posted a job offer for mobile and PC, mentioning the PlayStation Network, as last October the company was looking for a user experience design manager to be responsible for the PlayStation’s “off-the-console” mobile web experience. and PC applications, and Sony would use them to expand its content distribution platform. This can be explained by looking at the rival: Microsoft’s (Xbox) Game Pass service has been on PCs for a long time, and it would be advisable for Sony’s PlayStation Plus service, which will soon be transformed in Europe, to reach PCs as well.

“Manage and improve your PlayStation gaming experience for all gaming experiences, including SDK (software development kit) development, client application experience, and PlayStation Network platform integration. In this role, you will have to take control of the overall PC gaming experience on the PlayStation, including leadership and responsibility for implementation and execution for our players worldwide, ”the job advertisement writes.

So Sony is quietly trying to get on PCs too, which could seriously upset the market with Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store / Game Pass – but it would also require that exclusive years later to reach players who aren’t on PlayStation consoles they play.
