Will Norway soon be forced to bring the IS women home?

A case against France can determine whether Norway must bring home the Norwegian IS women and their children.

No one knows exactly how many children live in the Al-Hol camp. The numbers range from 22,000 to 40,000 children. Here are some of them photographed in May this year.

Because the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) will probably shortly decide whether Norway is actively obliged to help “our” IS women and their children home – or whether the state has the right to refuse. The Court of Justice decides how the European Convention on Human Rights is to be interpreted.
