At the end of the transfer window, Charleroi is still looking for a new striker to solve the offensive problems of the squad. According to Portuguese journalist Sebastiao Sousa Pinto, the Zebras are trying their luck to Vivaldo Semedo.
The 19-year-old striker left Sporting Portugal’s youth academy to sign for Udinese for no less than three million (even though he had not yet played a single professional match) two years ago.
In his first season in Friuli, the Portuguese U19 international alternated between a starting place with the Primavera (four goals) and a few appearances with the first team in Serie A.
Vivaldo Semedo, still has a fine product
Last January, Udinese loaned him to FC Volendam for six months. He established himself as a regular but only scored one goal, not enough to prevent relegation to the second division.
Charleroi would be in advanced negotiations to have him loaned. Juventus are also in the running but are looking for a dry transfer. Will the importance of Mogi Bayat in Udinese’s sporting policy send Vivaldo Semedo to the Black Country? This summer, the young Raymond Asante has already made the trip, also on loan.
