On Monday, officers from the Nowe Miasto Poznań headquarters received a report regarding theft hearing aid. The victim was said to be a 12-year-old girl whose two teenagers had to tear the device out of her ear.
The incident did not take place. The mother made up the alleged theft
However, as it turned out, this was not the case. The policemen from Poznań checked the city surveillance cameras and found that the theft described by the mother did not take place. The woman confirmed that the event was actually made up by her.
The woman explained to the policemen that it cost almost 40 thousand. PLN the camera was supposed to be lost by a girl at the seaside. What is worse, it was supposed to be insured only against theft, so the mother of the 12-year-old decided to present a fictitious report to the police.

She took the matter up prosecutors Office. Under Polish law, a woman may be imprisoned from six months to even eight years for giving false statements.
Greater Police reported that the woman is in a difficult financial situation – she is raising her children independently and does not receive alimony. Taking into account the circumstances of the incident, the officers provided the woman with a contact to the foundation, where she should receive free legal care.
