The Zielona Góra prosecutor’s office sent a request to Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar to waive the immunity of MP Łukasz Mejza. This is related to the investigation into his asset declarations.

Investigators suspect that Łukasz Mejza’s property declarations contained false information. There are a total of 11 crimes.
The prosecutor’s office wants Mejza to answer for concealing the truth in seven parliamentary asset declarations submitted in the years 2021-2024 and for three falsehoods in the asset declarations submitted as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport, and then at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.
“In addition, the actions of the deputy were assessed as violating Article 231 of the Penal Code, finding that the public official – a member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, failed to fulfill his obligation to report the information required by law within a period no later than 30 days to the register of benefits kept by the Speaker of the Sejm, as referred to referred to in Article 35a of the Act on the exercise of the mandate of a deputy and senator,” we read in a statement from the prosecutor’s office.
Investigators recall that as part of their investigation, they inspected Mejza’s apartment. They also acquired, among others: documentation from the Central Anticorruption Bureau and the tax office.
All these materials are intended to justify the suspicion that Mejza has committed crimes.
Łukasz Mejza was born on May 15, 1991 in Zielona Góra. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Finance and Banking at the WSB University in Poznań. He is an entrepreneur by profession.
In the last elections, Łukasz Mejza won 10,162 votes. He is a member of the PiS club.
Romanowski did not appear at the meeting of the regulations committee
