Russian singer Kristina Orbakaite decided not to participate in New Year’s corporate events in the Russian Federation due to the political situation in the country and because of previously canceled concerts. Mash reports this.
“Christina was invited to work in Russia, but for the first time in a long time she did not agree. She says that money doesn’t buy happiness, and she’s not ready yet, and it’s also unpleasant that concerts were often cancelled,” Mash reports in her telegram channel. They added that the singer also fears condemnation from the Russian public.
Orbakaite plans to spend the winter in California, where she will remain until the end of January. The singer repeatedly tried to return to Russia, since the halls at her concerts in the USA were almost empty, Mash notes. This year, the artist even agreed to perform at the Kremlin Palace without a fee, but at the last moment canceled her performance.
Previously, Orbakaite refused to sing with musician Abraham Russo. The performers were invited to participate in a concert in Dubai. However, the singer refused to perform with her colleague and sang the hits alone. Previously, Russo declared his indifference to artists who left Russia and confirmed his intentions to continue concert activities within the country.
