Will Kate be part of the royal vacation? – 2024-08-06 20:55:52

Kate Middleton is preparing to join the royal family at Balmoral for their annual summer holiday in the country, reports “New York Post”.

With two major public appearances behind her this year, the 42-year-old Princess of Wales will join her husband Prince William and three children at the Scottish estate later this month.

The royal family also spent several weeks at Anmer Hall, located on Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England.

As for Balmoral, the family will join King Charles III and Queen Camilla, where the royals spend their entire summer vacation

The stunning castle was the favorite residence of the late Queen Elizabeth II, who started the annual tradition of vacationing there during her reign.

There, the royals enjoy scenic walks in the Highlands of Scotland, as well as traditional meals, horse riding and board games.

King Charles III was keen to carry on his late mother’s tradition, with Prince William’s family now joining in on the fun this year.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of York, and Zara and Mike Tindall also visit the castle during the summer.

However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their two children have not visited the beloved royal residence together.

Princess Catherine’s trip to Balmoral will mark her furthest trip of 2024 since undergoing abdominal surgery in January and subsequently announcing she had been diagnosed with cancer in March.

After her shocking announcement, she stayed out of the public eye to prioritize her treatment and recovery process.

Just three months later, the royal announced that she was “making good progress” but had “good days and bad days” as she went through chemotherapy.

The following day, Middleton joined the royal family for King Charles III’s birthday celebrations from the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the Salute to the Flags ceremony.

Last month, Middleton attended the Wimbledon tennis championships, which is likely to be her last public appearance for the foreseeable future. The Princess of Wales was given a standing ovation at the Grand Slam.

She delighted the crowd when she arrived with her 9-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte and her sister Pippa Middleton.
