OPINION, mediasulutgo.com, Reported by sindonews.com– The number of people living with HIV continues to increase every year. UNAIDS epidemiological data states that by 2021, the number of people living with HIV will reach 38.4 million. Groups of women and children show an alarming number.
In Indonesia, the largest Muslim population in ASIA, there are an estimated 543,100 people living with HIV with an estimated 27,000 new cases of infection in 2021. About 40 percent of new cases of infection occur in women, while more than 51 percent occur in adolescents (15-24 years) and 12 percent of new infections in children.
Meanwhile, the Department of Municipal Health Batam recorded an increase in the number of cases HIV/AIDS in Batam City it will reach 446 people in 2022. What is surprising, from the findings of the Health Authority, it is stated that the increase in cases is dominated by deviations in the behavior of same-sex couples. (Reported by Liputan6).
Batam City Health Service Chief Didi Kusmardjadi said that the frequency of rising HIV/AIDS cases is due to same-sex couples and this is not only happening in Batam but also in Indonesia nationwide and even in other countries.
Even in Gorontalo itself, specifically in the North Gorontalo Regency, as of March 2022, there are 64 people living with HIV/AIDS. This was stated by the head of the North Gorontalo health service, Rizal Yusuf Kune, met by the media in his office. According to him, the HIV/AIDS rate is quite high and what is even worse is the validated data, most of them are of productive age. (Reported by HARGO.CO.ID).
“In North Gorontalo, there is still a higher rate of MSM (men having sex with men) or boys and IRT (housewives). It is possible that this happened because the fathers used to carelessly ‘snack’ and then take home ‘souvenirs’,” said Rizal Yusuf Kune.
From this we can draw the conclusion that new HIV/AIDS infections continue to increase due to the increase in deviant behavior of same-sex couples and free sex that has become a culture. As a result, many women and children are also infected.
On December 1, 2022, UNAIDS Indonesia, Positive Indonesia Network, Indonesian Positive Women’s Association, Lantern Anak Pelangi and Pelita Ilmu Foundation, formed a national alliance to end AIDS in children in Indonesia. This alliance was established to address one of the most glaring problems in the AIDS response. (Reported by tempo.co)
The goal of the National Alliance to End AIDS in Children is to ensure that no child living with HIV is unable to access treatment because only 25% of children living with HIV receive ARV treatment in Indonesia lifesaver.
Unfortunately, only 28% of this number received ARV treatment. Indonesia ranks third lowest in Asia Pacific for ARV treatment coverage along with Pakistan and Afghanistan.
To realize the AIDS epidemic in 2030, everyone must step up prevention efforts, everyone who tests positive must immediately undergo ARV treatment, everyone who undergoes treatment must be disciplined to get their viral load suppressed.
And this is what Krittayawan Boonto said: “Multi-sector strengthening is important to do to get enough support for the HIV programme. Countries must also prioritize HIV program funding. In this way, I believe we can all end AIDS by 2030.”
In fact, various programs aimed at solving HIV cases in 2030 will not be able to solve them, because the solutions provided cannot touch the root of the problem, furthermore the legalization of deviant behavior is in fact requested. Furthermore, the state does not even have the funds to provide treatment for the sick.
On the other hand, the UN analysis argued that it is inequality that is preventing the end of AIDS. Dangerous Inequalities shows how gender inequality and discriminatory gender norms can stand in the way of ending the AIDS pandemic.
UNAIDS Executive Director Winnie Byanyima said, “The world will not be able to defeat AIDS if the patriarchy is still strong.”
Indeed, this analysis is ridiculous and feels irrelevant in the treatment of HIV. why do they only see it from the point of view of men who might be able to transmit HIV/AIDS, without seeing it again, why did this transmission go so badly? Especially if sexual deviance is allowed to exist among the ummah under the guise of human rights, obviously this can exacerbate the spread of HIV, even if a myriad of solutions are provided, they cannot fix it. Because the root of the problem is when we forget the role of religion in regulating life or secularism.
Thus, in a system of secularism, it limits religion in regulating associations, social interactions and requires freedom of behavior, including same-sex relationships which are the cause of the loss of control of HIV/AIDS. As long as secularism is the basis of life, it will be impossible to eradicate HIV/AIDS infection because secularism actually opens up opportunities for the transmission of HIV/AIDS infection.
So the goal of an HIV/AIDS-free world expected to be achieved in 2030 ‘Three Zero HIV/AIDS 2030′ will be far from expectations, because since its launch in 2010, new HIV infections have continued to increase.
So it’s appropriate for us to see how Islam resolves, how Islam regulates social interaction. Islam forbids all disobedience and is capable of preventing the transmission of HIV/AIDS infection. Do we still doubt the Islamic solution?
