Will Harry reconcile with members of the royal family before the coronation of Charles III? – Lebanon

According to a press report published on Saturday, a reconciliation between Prince Harry and the British royal family is possible before the coronation of King Charles III in May, after the publication of his memoirs, “Spear” (“The Alternative”), which contained embarrassing information.

A source close to the king, who is also linked to Harry and his wife Megan, told the “Sunday Times” newspaper that a meeting would be held between them in the coming months before the coronation on May 6.

“It will require flexibility from all parties, but it is possible and things can be fixed,” the newspaper quoted the source as saying in a report posted on its website.

“There is a need for Harry to be here, in the room with the King (Charles III) and the Prince of Wales (William), and two other family members, some of his trusted family members who have always supported him, so that he doesn’t think he’s being ambushed,” the source added.

After months of anticipation and an extensive publicity campaign, Harry’s diary book titled “Spear” was launched on Tuesday, and achieved record sales of 1.4 million copies for the English edition in the first 24 hours.

The source continued, “Both sides need to come together and admit ‘we didn’t do everything right, we got a lot wrong’, and should be told ‘we understand the pain you’ve been through’. The king can do that.”

Although the royal family has not commented on the book, the source said Harry’s older brother, heir to the throne Prince William, was “burning inside” over his brother’s behavior towards the family.

“Not everyone here behaved well, but Harry should be able to sit back and say ‘We didn’t behave well either’. That takes a lot of flexibility, which Harry isn’t very good at,” the source added.

Harry, who in the book accuses his brother of pushing him to the ground in a fight in 2019, said he wanted to reconcile with his family but wanted “accountability” first.

The source pointed out that the essence of the matter is related to time now.

“We have to get moving, get it done by April. Then, we need to get the wives involved. The king needs a normal atmosphere during the coronation,” he said.

Another royal source acknowledged to the newspaper that Harry and Megan, who left royal life in the United Kingdom and moved to California in 2020, should be invited before the historic royal event.

If this does not happen, the escalating feud between the two brothers will become a “distraction”.

Public opinion in Britain turned against Harry after the book was published, amid the country’s most serious living crisis in a generation.

A YouGov poll conducted in The Times newspaper found that only 24 percent of Britons have a positive view of the prince, down from 80 percent a decade ago, while 68 percent are critical of his behaviour.
