Will FC Bayern meet Lionel Messi again? Why this scenario is now possible despite the Argentine’s departure to Miami.
Munich – Lionel Messi said goodbye to Europe in the summer of 2023 and moved from Paris Saint-Germain to Inter Miami on a free transfer. But in 2025, Messi could not only see PSG again, but also meet some of the top clubs with whom he duel in the Champions League for years.

As winners of the Supporter’s Shield, Inter Miami will be one of 32 teams taking part in next year’s FIFA Club World Cup. “The team is now officially one of the 32 best clubs in the world. The FIFA Club World Cup will be held in the USA from June 15 to July 13, 2025 and will replace the previous mini World Cup. Eight groups of four will be formed, followed by a knockout phase from the round of 16 onwards.
They are from Germany FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund qualified. Other participants from Europe are Real MadridManchester City, Chelsea FC, Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, Benfica Lisbon and FC Porto. So there is, among other things, the possibility that Messi will play against FC Bayern again.

The Argentine played against FC Bayern eight times in the premier class, but only won twice, drew once and lost five times. The eight-time world footballer scored a total of four goals against Munich.
