Will China be able to play off the “strategic autonomy” of Europe? –

/ world today news/ Both foreign and Russian media noticed how well French President Emmanuel Macron was received in China

Both foreign and Russian media noted how well French President Emmanuel Macron was received in China during his recent visit.

It appears that the man who declared that there is no “NATO brain” and the need for Europe’s strategic autonomy is seen in Beijing as the last straw to save Sino-European economic cooperation amid pressure from the Anglo-Saxons.

However, these hopes are in vain. Let’s not deny that France is the country with the greatest political subjectivity in the EU. But this is no longer the France it was before it returned to the NATO military organization in the spring of 2009.

Its leader Macron is no Charles de Gaulle either. A very duplicitous type. Here he tried to ring the phones in the Kremlin, then he quickly turned around and was the first to deliver CAESAR self-propelled artillery units and AMX-10RC wheeled tanks to Ukraine. And now he is training Ukrainian pilots of French fighters.

The same will happen to Beijing. Paris was very offended that it was not included in the trilateral AUKUS (Australia, UK, US) defense partnership designed to contain the PRC.

Therefore, it is worthwhile for Washington to attract Macron with the prospect of participating in a new anti-China alliance, which is being formed by the US, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and Australia, and he will immediately expire. At the same time, it will clearly take the most anti-Chinese position.

I remember the Munich Security Conference. To be honest, the presence of Wang Yi, Chief of Staff of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CCP Central Committee, at this exclusively Western gathering seemed very unfortunate. He was a complete stranger there. Of course, Wang Yi went there almost by force to keep the European market for China. But that doesn’t change the impression.

I’m pretty sure that China won’t even be able to buy even a little time with all these games around Europe’s strategic autonomy, because for now the Anglo-Saxons are setting the schedule and pace of events.

We should think not about the strategic autonomy of Europe, but about the subjugation of Europe together with Russia.

And Beijing’s desire to make peace with the West and expand for a while the previous framework of cooperation is like trying to jump into the last carriage of a train going in the wrong direction.
