Will Berri prevent his deputies from traveling and call the leaders of the blocks?

“Lebanese Debate”

Before the end of the week, we will see a new folklore session, which will not bring the end of the presidential election any closer. However, what is circulating creates a vacuum of hope in the crisis wall. We are indeed closer than we are to imagining a solution, as has said Prime Minister Najib Mikati?

Will President Nabih Berri communicate with bloc leaders, as well as ask his bloc deputies not to travel outside Lebanon during holidays?

In this regard, the deputy of the “Development and Liberation” bloc confirmed to Khreis that he had not received any request from President Berri not to travel outside the country during the holidays.

Regarding the idea that we are close to a solution, Khreis said in an interview with the “Lebanon Debate” that as of this moment there is no solution on the horizon, as things are in your place, and there is no progress on the question of the presidency of the republic.

Regarding the question of Berri’s communication with the leaders of the blocks before the session, he said: “Rapporteur Berri knows that the current sessions are a waste of time, and a game. Even if we do 100 sessions, we will not reach a conclusion .”

And he continued: “The presidential dossier needs dialogue, and President Berri, even when he has suspended the issue of dialogue, is in constant contact with the parties to bring the solution closer. Without dialogue, a result cannot be achieved”.

And he felt that the president should be made locally and that we shouldn’t wait for signals from the outside, as the solution starts from within.

Regarding the appointment of a parliamentary commission of bloc representatives to be consulted on the presidency issue, as proposed by Representative Sajea Attia, Khreis said, “The matter is left to President Berri.”
