Abdullah Al-Saeed, the star of the current Pyramids team and the former Al-Ahly player, seeks to persuade Ahmed Fathi to leave the Red Castle and move to the Pyramids ranks.
A source – who declined to be named – in exclusive statements to “Masrawy” today, Wednesday, said that Al-Saeed is trying to persuade Fathi to move to Pyramids after the end of the current season.
The source revealed that Abdullah Al-Saeed was one of the reasons for Fathi’s rethinking of Al-Ahly’s offer, which led him to request a 48-hour deadline to respond to Red Castle officials, either by agreeing to renewal or rejection.
Fathi expressed his desire to continue in the ranks of Al-Ahly, except that the intervention of Abdullah Al-Saeed along with the presence of his former agent, Mamdouh Eid, might make him repeat the accounts again in signing for Pyramids.
The past few hours have witnessed a controversial behavior on the part of Fathi, after he posted through his “Instagram” page a picture of his close to Pyramids (see details).
The deadline is set to expire in the coming hours, after the Al-Ahly administration announced on Monday through its official website.
It is worth noting that the 36-year-old was offered a signature for Al-Ahly for two seasons, but the Pyramids Club seeks to benefit from the services of “The Joker” with a three-season contract.
