What the New York media Bloomberg published yesterday is part of a truth, only part, as we have been able to verify. These are one of the lines written by Lucas Shaw, a journalist for said company:
“Starting in October, the company will ban creators from posting sexually explicit material on its website.” And later he clarifies: “They will be allowed to publish photos and videos with nudity, as long as they are consistent with the Only Fans policy.”
This hint of censorship immediately stunned its 130 million users and creators. Especially in this pandemic, the latter had a relief to their income by creating content for adults in their homes, gardens and offices. Because Only Fans has updated its terms and conditions for creators in March of this year and in no case prohibits amateur creators, or actresses like Mía Malkova, from doing nudes or publishing intimate scenes between two or more people.
What it does require of them is to comply with stricter policies and adhere to the laws on child pornography, human trafficking, sexual exploitation, bestiality, drug use and co-authorship with the express consent of third parties, among others.
In article 8, subsection a, of the Terms and Conditions of the platform operated by Fenix International Limited in London and Wales, the position of the owners is clear:
“We can, but we are not required to moderate or review your Content to verify compliance with the Terms of Service (including, in particular, our Acceptable Use Policy) and / or any applicable law.”
With the above, the company maintains its openness towards audiovisuals for adults, but hardening its Acceptable Use Policy that describes what “nopor” content is prohibited on its platform.
Therefore, the information from Bloomberg is inaccurate and so far the company has not come out to authorize the version of the Bloomberg journalist, Lucas Shaw.
But Mía Molkova can still lose her account. And your risk is not in nudity or lingerie, but in an administrative detail that the platform has intensified lately.
In no case, the creators can delegate their profile to third parties. That is, unlike Facebook or Instagram, in which some stars hire an agency or community manager to manage them, Only Fans does not allow this strategy.
In article 7 of the Terms of Use for Creators, Fenix International Limited specifies:
“Agencies cannot be creators: each creator owns his own account and must have access to his account at all times.
