There have been reports in foreign media about a missing asteroid that is believed to pose a threat to Earth. This is about the asteroid “2007 FT3”, which scientists noticed 16 years ago and which later disappeared from radars.
There were even fears that an asteroid would soon hit Earth. Even the date was given – March 3, 2030.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) denies these disturbing reports.
“There are no known hazards of an asteroid impacting Earth at any time in the next century,” a NASA spokesman said. He added that the agency “is closely watching the sky to identify and track objects that may approach Earth.”
The release said an asteroid is considered close to Earth when it is 30 million miles from Earth’s orbit (which is about 48 million kilometers). According to NASA, there are over 32,000 asteroids orbiting “near” our planet, which do not pose a threat.
