In Wilhelmshaven, an eight-year-old slipped while playing on Saturday afternoon and fell into Lake Banter. When his twin sister tried to help him, she also fell into the cold water. That is what the police said. The mother then jumped into the lake to save her children. Passers-by alerted the emergency services. When they arrived at the lake, a couple from Jever had already got all three family members out of the water unharmed. The soaked twins and their mother were then taken to hospital as a precaution, according to the police.
