JAKARTA – The winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics, Wilhelm Röntgen turned out to have a tragic story. He was once expelled from school, because of an act he never did.

As reported by the Twitter upload of The Nobel Prize @NobelPrize. That said, not many know this story.

“Did you know that Wilhelm Röntgen was unfairly expelled from school, after being accused of making a caricature of one of the teachers, which was actually done by someone else,” he said, quoted Tuesday (28/3/2023).

However, who would have thought that the person who had been treated unfairly would eventually receive the Nobel Prize in Physics.

Meanwhile, reported by Fisik@net, Wilhelm Röntgen was born on March 27, 1845 and died on February 10, 1923. This German physicist received the Nobel Prize in Physics, in 1901 for his discovery of X-rays.

The discovery of X-rays marked the beginning of the age of modern physics and revolutionized diagnostic medicine.

He earned his doctorate in 1869 from the University of Zurich. For 19 years, Rontgen worked at various universities, and earned a reputation as an excellent scientist.
