Each year since 1991 is awarded a prize, in honor of the screenwriter Jacques Lob (Le Transperceneige, Superdupont, Delirius, Jerry Spring…), rewarding a pure screenwriter or a screenwriter-designer, it depends on the years, for all of his work. With the Goscinny price, this prize is the only one to reward an author for his screenplays, which is unfortunately too often considered secondary by most festivals and awards in France.

This prize, which has taken up residence at BD Boum since 1994, has rewarded the very best of French screenwriters, Hubert To Pierre Christin, Passing by Frank Giroud, Zidrou and Kris.

At the initiative of this award is Couetsch Bousset-Lob, wife of the screenwriter who died on May 24, 1990. She is soon joined by her daughter Léonie Lob. We met them both during the last BD BOOM to present the philosophy of this rare and useful prize, we will post this video to you later.

In 976, following a political upheaval, took place an autodafé of tens of thousands of manuscripts taken from the magnificent library of Cordoba, which was then one of the cultural centers of Europe and which then wished to compete with its magnificence with Baghdad and Constantinople. Faced with this disaster, Tarid, a chubby eunuch in charge of the library, tries to save what he can of this endangered knowledge by loading the maximum number of manuscripts on the back of a mule and by fleeing through the Spain, accompanied by a young black copyist, and her former apprentice turned thief.
