Wildmoser/Koch & Partner, led by M&A/Corporate Partner Dr. Beate Anzinger provided comprehensive legal advice to the shareholders of Quehenberger Logistics (AUGUSTIN QUEHENBERGER GROUP GMBH) on the sale of a 66% majority stake to the German Geis Group. The previous majority owner Christian Fürstaller remains shareholder and CEO of Quehenberger Logistics with 34%. Although Rodolphe Schoettel is stepping down as a shareholder, he will remain on board as CFO. The transaction is still subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities.

With a total of around 10,000 employees at around 200 locations in 13 countries and sales of around EUR 2 billion, the new group of companies will become a leading logistics player in its markets. “I look forward to continuing to improve the range of products and services and to expanding the business rapidly in close cooperation with the Geis Group in the future,” says Christian Fürstaller. With regard to legal advice, Christian Fürstaller and Rodolphe Schoettel say: “We got to know Beate Anzinger and Elisabeth Huber many years ago as legal representatives of the other side and quickly realized that we would rather have them on our side. For us it was a matter of course that after years of professional and competent advice to our group of companies in the field of transactions, this decisive step should also be taken with your legal support”.
