Red-hot fire burns roaring along the ridge.
Because it is a wooded area, the flames spread quickly.
The fire broke out in Tenerife National Park, Canary Islands, Spain.
It is night and the first fire in a steep ravine makes extinguishing a more difficult situation.
The flames headed down the mountain with fierce momentum, reaching the village.
Residents of five villages were ordered to evacuate in the middle of the night.
Even though the day is bright, the momentum of the forest fire is still there.
The dense forest was covered with gray smoke.
Access to the national park was blocked as the fire occupied even the vicinity of the road.
About 10 helicopters sprayed water from the air and hundreds of firefighters and soldiers extinguished the fire, but the forest as large as 300 hectares of Yeouido was already devastated.
Tenerife has a reputation as a summer vacation destination thanks to its beautiful seascapes and year-round mild weather, but the recent heat wave has raised the risk of forest fires.
Across the Atlantic, in northwest Canada, forest fires that have been going on for three months are still not extinguished.
A state of emergency has been declared in the Northwest Territory, which has been hit particularly hard by wildfires.
Even the roads were closed due to flames, so residents evacuated to safety zones using military aircraft.
