There have been many wildfires in Canada this summer. British Columbia alone had 385 active wildfires on Saturday, according to the Canadian government.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he had spoken with British Columbia Premier David Abby about the “rapidly changing and incredibly devastating wildfire situation” and pledged federal resources to deal with the disaster.

All 20,000 residents of Yellowknife were ordered to evacuate this week due to wildfires in Canada’s Northwest Territories, which border the province of British Columbia.

It rained overnight in Yellowknife, but “a little rain doesn’t mean it’s safe to go home,” Northwest Territories Environment Minister Shane Thompson warned, adding that temperatures were expected to rise again on Sunday.
