Forest fires destroyed the California city of Greenville.

Dixie’s three-week bushfire has engulfed a mountain town in Northern California, razing much of its historic center and leaving residential areas in ash, according to the agency.
“The fire burned our entire center. Our historic buildings, family homes, small businesses and children’s schools are completely lost,” Kevin Goss, Plumas County Chief of Staff, wrote on Facebook.

As UNIAN Weather reported, large-scale forest fires are raging in northern California. The element has not subsided for several days.
The fire spreads rapidly due to strong gusty winds, dry grass and intense heat. The land was burnt out on an area of more than 100 hectares. Fires have already destroyed dozens of structures and expelled tens of thousands of people from their homes.
5 thousand firefighters were involved in the fight against the fire. In some places, because of the strong smoke, not even the sky and the Sun can be seen.
According to forecasters, in the coming days the weather in the region will be dry and hot, which is likely to aggravate the situation.
