Despite two defeats against DEL title favorites, Wild Wings continue to offer top-level ice hockey and miss the atmospheric fans in the ranks.
After four wins in a row, the Schwenninger Wild Wings had to admit defeat to the two top favorites of the still young DEL season. In Mannheim and at home against EHC Red Bull Mnchen, coach Niklas Sundblad’s team suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat. Last Thursday, the SERC competed in the city of squares; today, 6.30 p.m., the Wild Wings are challenged again in Mannheim in another comparison of the Sd group.
On Sunday the Schwenninger drew in a thrilling exchange of blows in front of zero spectators, but at least 270 cardboard comrades in the rings, at home against Munich the Krzeren. “It’s fun to play against such strong opponents right away,” said coach Niklas Sundblad: “It’s a bit like playoffs.
