A man wielding a wrench repeatedly struck a young pregnant woman in the head in a vicious attack in broad daylight on a Fordham Heights street in the Bronx. the New York police reported.
The assailant hit the 26-year-old victim with a wrench in the Grand Concourse near East Fordham Road around 5:20 p.m. on June 6, authorities said early this morning, in a request for the public’s help in finding the perpetrator. .

The pregnant woman was rushed to a hospital. from the area with a severe cut to the head, but in stable condition. A detailed physical description of the suspect was not immediately available, only the car he fled into. The unidentified victim has not confirmed if she knew her attacker.
