Kansas City honored its Super Bowl heroes with a big party. Before the parade, however, an “uninvited guest” caused a fright and a wild chase.

Tens of thousands of fans in the Kansas City Chiefs’ red came to the parade in the city in central Missouri on Wednesday and celebrated the team around Patrick Mahomes. Videos showed the quarterback with his teammates on an open bus celebrating – mostly with a bottle in hand – and occasionally throwing a football into the crowd.

According to media reports, numerous schools were closed due to the parade, and the city council had also postponed a meeting. After the two-hour parade, a large reception was planned on a stage in front of the city’s train station.

In the morning, however, there was a startling moment when, according to local media, a car broke through the barrier and drove along the route. Videos showed how heavily armed police stopped the car – a few hours before the parade started. According to the reports, two people were arrested.

The Kansas City Chiefs had prevailed against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night at 31:20, winning the American football title for the first time in 50 years.
