On the 27th, the Eternal Return Masters Season 1 Phase 1: Wild Card match was held online. Eight teams that did not advance to the finals competed on day 1, and the Tricksters, HappyGaming, Newclear, and ER Fighting made it to the finals.
The Tricksters, who finished top in the wild card match, was the biggest surprise of this wild card match. The Tricksters played well in the early rounds in a total of 6 rounds, and advanced to the finals virtually early. The Tricksters gave up last man standing to Newclear, who had 22 kills in the first round, but made a lot of points in the early rounds, winning the second round and getting a lot of kills.
As the Tricksters advanced to the finals, they showed stable game management and bold battles well in the second half, and confirmed 1st place in the wild card match with a total score of 74 points.
It was HappyGaming that stood out in the middle rounds. HappyGaming started off shaky as they didn’t score much in the early stages, but survived as the last survivors in the 3rd and 4th rounds, showing the team’s full potential. HappyGaming’s organization was particularly notable. Alex and Mai properly acted as shields from the front, and the play closest to the correct answer, Rio stably dealing deals from the rear, came out for two rounds in a row.
The last two spots went to Newclear and ER Fighting. Newclear survived as the last survivor of round 5 and was able to board the last train of the wild card fight. ER Fighting also proved that they deserved the final stage with decent performance during the 6th round.
