Joko Wibowo (24) become a victim beating three men in front of the RW 10 office in Mangunjaya Village, South Tambun District, Bekasi Regency. JW’s wife, Emi (25), said the victim went out to buy insect repellent and refill gasoline the night before being beaten to death.
“Initially my husband left the house at half past one, he wanted to buy mosquito repellent because there were a lot of mosquitoes, right for his children. Buy mosquito repellent while buying gasoline at Mangunjaya 1. Then I said, ‘don’t make a fuss yah‘, he said yes,” said Emi when met at the funeral home in Bekasi, Wednesday (22/6/2022).
On Wednesday (22/6), at 00.47 WIB, the victim sent a photo of himself at the gas station to Emi. Then at 01.11 WIB Emi contacted the victim, but the victim did not respond to Emi’s message.
“Keep me WA again at 01.11, I said why so long, keep me call don’t pick up, then WA doesn’t reply. Well after that I fell asleep, then I wake up 02.00 WIB. WA (victim) is not active, the phone is also not active, it’s 02.11 already not active,” he said.
At around 02.30 WIB, Emi was woken up by her neighbors and reported Joko Wibowo became a victim of robbery. At that moment Emi was given a police number to call.
“It’s half past three, me built with my neighbour, ‘Teh… Teh (a nickname for elders in Sundanese), Wibowo said that someone had strangled, got stabbed’. ‘Keep going how?’, ‘already brought to the hospital Teh’. The police kept calling, telling them to send their KK and KTP files,” he said.
