The exchange was without drama this time. Lucka actually went to rest in a small village, where Vasi and three dogs were waiting for her. Despite the Government’s initial concerns, he also enjoyed ten days in the second household. Míra received him very well. And little Karolínka also surprised everyone. Even after the Exchange, the families stayed in touch.
Lucka and Míra signed up for the Exchange out of curiosity, because they haven’t missed a single episode of the show since it started broadcasting. Vláďa wanted to test whether he could take care of small children, which he and his friend Vasi would like to one day. And as it turned out, it came quite naturally to him. Karolínka accepted him without the slightest problem.
Initial shock
Although Míra had expected the arrival of a man instead of a woman, he was still thrown off by it at first. “I was completely out of it. I had a total eclipse. I stood and just watched. At that moment, my brain turned off,” Míra laughs as she recalls her first meeting with her surrogate husband.
Life changes
Lucka and Míra had a great relationship with both boys. And therefore it is not surprising that even after the Exchange they remained in contact. They became friends. “Yes, see you. We met about three times. We also write to each other. But they boys moved away from us. There was a wedding. And they just moved to England,” Lucka describes, adding that they can no longer meet in person due to the great distance.
Meera wants symmetry
They would immediately re-apply to the Exchange. Lucka just wishes she had the same luck in choosing a family as she has now. The rate is the opposite. “Exactly, not at all, because this wasn’t an Exchange,” says Lucky’s husband, saying that things went very smoothly with Vláda. “I’d like to experience it again and with some symmetry,” adds a laughing Míra.
