Gordon Hayward is injured, episode 8642. The most famous mullet cut in the championship – now Kenrich Williams – will have to step aside once again, for an as yet undetermined period, following a fractured scapula. But this time the winger’s wife fought back, accusing the Hornets of not protecting their players.
Friday evening, the return of Thanksgiving for almost the entire NBA, an opportunity for some, like dad LeBron for example, to take advantage of opponents still in digestion. In Charlotte we seem to be less fortunate: if the Hornets triumphed over the Wolves at the Spectrum Center, Gordon Hayward for his part should have been rested.
Later in the evening, Shams Charania learned that Gordy would be suffering a stress fracture of the scapula. Information corroborated by the wife of the principal concerned, but also accompanied by a sweet word for the attention of the Hornets:
I was about to tweet that Gordon Hayward’s wife posted this on her IG story about her injury https://t.co/ulbztlovFL pic.twitter.com/iihIIHlxtt

Some context: While the Hornets listed Hayward as “out” in the last game, the team’s injury report first hinted at a simple shoulder contusion, which allowed Gordon to play the previous game against the 76ers. But in her Instagram story, Hayward’s wife returns to the information provided by the Hornets:
“She actually has a fractured scapula…and they made fun of her last game…and that’s why she couldn’t lift her arm. I blame them for not protecting their players. I spoke to the mother of a young player and she told me exactly the same thing. »
What put quite a boxon in the North Carolina franchise. Ah, Charlotte, ideal environment to flourish healthy in the NBA, between courts and scandals of lack of player protection, what better dream to evolve?
