The wife of the actor Ivan Balsamadzhiev – Desanka has died. This was announced by their son on Facebook – Angelin Balsamadzhiev:
“Mother is gone. In typical her style, she came to terms with death and waited for us to welcome the new year so that she wouldn’t bother us with herself. There was no gray in her. She “hit” right in the beard when she disagreed and protected like one blond angel when he loved. He showered me with love throughout our lives. Such an abnormal, even illogical, frantic love…
Mother is gone. Slow, agonizing, heavy and painful. Just like dad. Just a few days before today’s Black Tuesday, her soul departed to wait for her above. He had a clear mind, but a wild body. Mother left behind a trail full of goodness.
I am grateful to everyone who was by our side during the difficult months! They know who they are. I’m not mad at those who chose to save themselves the trouble! They know who they are.
The pilgrimage will be on 04.01 (Thursday), 14:00, Central Sofia Cemetery. Anyone who wants to say goodbye to my sweet Serbian girl is welcome. Praise you, my soul – you live loved!”
Ivan Balsamadzhiev is married to Desanka Pavlovich, daughter of director Zharko Pavlovich. Ivan died at the age of 57 in Sofia on April 3, 2010.
