Wietze de Jager responded this morning on Radio 538 to the sudden stop from Frank Dane’s morning show. “It’s a bit of a crazy situation at the moment,” Wietze started. “We are now making radio and this is also our new place. We think that’s insane, of course, that we get that confidence, but at the same time we also have full respect for team Dane in that. That is less news for them.”
538 announced yesterday that Frank Dane is disappearing from the morning. The show would last be heard at the end of January, but at his own request Frank already has his last broadcast created.
“I can’t really fill in what Frank and his team have to say about it, in the end they have to do that themselves,” said Wietze. “It is special, we also understand the messages. It’s not a nice situation that team Dane is in right now.”
As of January
Wietze, who can currently still officially be heard as a substitute for Frank Dane, will definitively take over from him as of January. “I can only keep it to myself and I am thrilled to embark on this adventure with you on the other side of the radio. We’re going to make something beautiful out of it,” said the jock.
