Actress Zofia Zborowska-Wrona and volleyball player Andrzej Wrona announced the death of their dog, Wiesia, by publishing emotional posts on social media. The adopted pet was a “dog celebrity” for years and the heroine of two books.
“Wiesiutku… my beloved Doggie Daughter… I can’t find the words to describe the immense suffering my heart has experienced today…” Zofia Zborowska-Wrona shared on Instagram on Thursday. “You were the most wonderful dog in the world. The wisdom, kindness and love that emanated from you shocked everyone who knew you. You were absolutely unique,” the actress added. She ended the post with the words: “You will remain in our hearts forever. A piece of me died with you today. Your Mom.”

Zofia Zborowska-Wrona said goodbye to her dog Wiesia
Zborowska-Wrona added photos to the post, showing the dog in the company of, among others, the actress and her husband, Andrzej Wrona. The famous volleyball player also said goodbye to Wiesia on social media. “Wiesiutku… Dog Love of my life… On this cloud you are sitting on now you have the most comfortable messenger in the world, because it is made of huge pieces of our hearts, which flew there yesterday with you…” – he wrote on Instagram on Friday.
“Thank you for loving me 6 years ago, because I know you had the final say in Zosia’s decision,” he continued. “I think that you fought your illnesses for a year longer to welcome Jaśminka and Krysia to our Family, and now that we had a complete set, you could calmly leave… But without you, this complete set will no longer exist,” Wrona added.

Wieska was well-known not only to fans of Zofia Zborowska-Wrona and Andrzej Wrona. The pet’s Instagram profile, “wieska_my_life_after_adoption”, is followed by over 126 thousand people. And Wiesia and her guardian appeared together in the media many times.

Wiesia was an adopted dog
Zofia Zborowska adopted Wiesia in 2013. – I saw her photo on the Internet and immediately fell in love (…). When I saw her, I immediately came back with her. It was one of the best decisions in my life – the actress recalled in the program “Dzień Dobry TVN” in 2023. She admitted then that her house was always full of adopted dogs. – Our first dog Sunia was rescued from Masuria, and then Ziucio from Paluch, Kluska from Celestynów, these dogs were always reclaimed – she said.
Last year, a book about the history of the famous dog, “Wiesia. Historia internetowego do kupy” was released on the market. As we read on the website dedicated to the publication – wiesiutek.pl – “each book purchased is one meal for a dog from the shelter. Because food has to be shared, every dog knows that”. This year, another part of Wiesia’s adventures premiered, entitled “Wiesia, Bubiś i kupa przygody”.
