Wienerberger AG placed a bond with a volume of EUR 400 million with institutional investors. The bond with a denomination of EUR 100,000 per bond has a term of five years and an annual coupon of 2.750% of the nominal amount. The proceeds from the issue are to be used for general corporate purposes. According to the information, the bond for the total issue volume of EUR 400 million was oversubscribed about two and a half times.
“With this bond issue, we are further strengthening our robust liquidity position, extending our maturity profile and so we can take advantage of opportunities from the current crisis and position Wienerberger for the future,” said Heimo Scheuch, CEO of Wienerberger AG.
Around 90% of the bond was placed with international institutional investors, the remaining 10% with institutional investors in the home market of Austria. The issue price was 99.425% of the nominal. The bond will be admitted to official trading on the Vienna Stock Exchange on the basis of a prospectus approved by the Financial Market Authority on May 29, 2020 and published in accordance with the applicable requirements. The admission prospectus only serves to admit the bond and is not a basis for an offer of the bonds.
