Wiener Strasse in Linz: three strangers robbed a man and beat him unconscious

Police are looking for witnesses to a robbery in Wienerstrasse on Saturday night (March 13) around 4:14 a.m. in Linz.

LINZ. Early on Saturday morning, a 28-year-old Hungarian citizen came to the police station at the main train station in Linz to report a robbery. In the presence of an interpreter, he stated that he was out in the Wiener Strasse area at around 4:15 a.m. He was on his way to a meeting point to travel back to Hungary. There, three unknown people stole his wallet, including cash, an ATM card and two Hungarian identification documents.

In addition, the three perpetrators beat the man unconscious. The victim sustained facial injuries. After he came to a short time later, the 28-year-old went to the city center to report the crime. The victim refused to receive medical care. The investigation into the perpetrators is still ongoing.

The police asked witnesses of the crime for information on 059 133/45 3333.
