Wiener Städtische, in cooperation with Vienna Airport, offers smart last-minute travel insurance options, especially during peak travel times. From now on, passengers at Vienna Airport can quickly and easily arrange short-term travel insurance online either by booking a parking space online or by connecting to the freely accessible and free WLAN at the airport. Whether via banner integration in the parking space booking confirmation or after connecting to the airport’s WLAN: users of the services are automatically forwarded to the landing pages of Wiener Städtische, where they have the option of completing an online contract with just a few clicks. The service is currently being offered as part of a pilot operation. “This easy access offers travelers maximum flexibility and convenience, as they can secure their trip even minutes before departure“, says Wiener-Städtische Deputy Director General Sonja Steßl and emphasizes: “With this cooperation, we underline our service excellence and enable passengers to have tailor-made insurance cover that meets their needs and travel behavior.”
