Scottish actor Sean Connery suffered from dementia, but was able to die peacefully and “without hassle”. His widow Micheline Roquebrune communicated this to the British tabloid ‘The Daily Mail’ on Sunday. “His last wish to go without hassle has been fulfilled.”

According to Roquebrune, the 90-year-old actor died peacefully in his sleep. “Fortunately he died in his sleep and it was very peaceful. I was with him the whole time and he just wasn’t there anymore. It was what he wanted. ”

The 91-year-old artist, who had been married to the actor since 1975, says the last few years have not been easy for her husband. “He was struggling with dementia and that took its toll,” she says. “It wasn’t life for him. He couldn’t express himself at the end. ”
Connery, best known for his role as James Bond, died in the night from Friday to Saturday in the Bahamas.
