With iOS 14, Apple introduced Home screen widgets. On iPhone, you can place widgets between apps on the Home screen, but with iPadOS 14 and iPad, widgets can only be saved in the “Today” view and not on the screen.
With iPadOS 15, widget behavior changes. Then you will also be able to display widgets between apps on iPad. Since there is more space on the screen of the iPad, there is now a widget that is larger than the size of the existing widget, which replaces a total of eight (4×2) apps on the screen. .
iPadOS 15 also brings new widgets for the App Store, Where is ?, Game Center, Mail, and Contacts. A media center app is also available, where you can more easily organize your apps and sort them by disaster. You can still access the app’s media library on the iPad via the dock, but you can also swipe to the far right as an option.
I’m sure iPad users with iPadOS 14 won’t use widgets as much as iOS 14 on iPhone. The screen is not quite in its current state, luckily this issue was resolved with iPadOS 15.
