Wide range of sports activities in exhibition hall 9

During the corona pandemic, the cantonal and municipal councils used exhibition hall 9 as an alternative location for the town hall. For around one and a half months, the ground floor of exhibition hall 9 has served as a sports hall for schools and clubs from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. In addition, the hall will now also be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for all sports enthusiasts aged 12 and over. Children between the ages of 8 and 11 are allowed to use the hall when accompanied by an adult. Entry and use of the facilities are free of charge. For a fee, the playing fields can be reserved a maximum of 14 days in advance. Access to the sports areas is only permitted with sports clothes and indoor shoes.

Four playing fields for countless sports

There are three playing fields with boards and goals on a hard surface (12 x 18 m). These can be used for ball sports such as football or floorball. These areas are also suitable for roller sports such as inline skating or skateboarding. There is also a parquet sports field with basketball hoops, which can also be used as an equipment area for gymnastics, for example (12 x 18 m). The hall also has a spacious bouldering wall, parkour obstacles and a 50-meter running track. Indoor footballs, basketballs, hurdles and equipment for floorball are available on site upon request.
